Security reasons

greenstockFrom time to time Apple, Inc. decides to fuck me. I guess it's just a charitable way of saying that I'm still sexy. But to acknowledge my dignity they pretend that they do it, as they say, for security reasons. Yesterday I noticed that my Android tablet stopped connecting to my Apple email. I know I should've ditched this shit long ago, I guess, I'm just lazy or have had better things to do. I already know the pattern. When I go to my Mac it says my account has been disabled for security reasons. Not directly, first it says it cannot connect to iCloud, then says it's locked, offers a button to unlock it, but then gets confused and starts the same sequence over again. Thankfully, I've been there, did that, so I know I must go to my Apple ID page, confirm my phone number with a verification token, and reset the password. Then sign on my Mac again with the new password, confirm another verification token, and the email will start to work. On Mac.
But I also have three other places that check email: my phone (non-Apple), my Android tablet (non-Apple) and my Windows PC (somehow also non-Apple) and according to the new Apple security guidelines I must have a special application password for each. And although I make sure I do not instruct the unlocking page to sign out on other devices, this moronic procedure still loses all pre-generated passwords. Now I must sign to my Apple ID again, confirm yet another verification token, generate three new passwords and enter them on my phone, my tablet, and my Windows PC.
And I'm sure in about four months I'll go through this ordeal again.
I really doubt there are any real treats to my account's security. From my usage pattern it would be very unlikely. The old Mac just sits around on the desk and I normally connect to it via SSH when I need to do something on it.
How do people keep up with this shit?
I used to love Apple, but it was long time ago. I really liked what they now call Classic Mac OS. This was a well thought-out user interface. They apparently managed to lose the people who made it possible.
